Become a Scruffy Paws Foster Hero!

We are always searching for compassionate foster parents to provide temporary loving homes for our cats and kittens. As a foster you will:

Scruffy Paws Fostering Requirements

Scruffy Paws thrives on the dedication of our volunteers help provide medical care and attention, taming and socialization, and love, all in preparation for adoption. Please review the following requirements, and if you have room in your heart and home, apply to foster!

You must provide veterinary references on all animals living in the home. All animals in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date with rabies and distemper vaccinations.  We also recommend monthly flea treatment.

If you rent your home, we’ll contact your landlord to confirm that you have approval to take in an animal. Minors applying to foster must have approval from guardians.

A spare bedroom or bathroom is required to keep fosters separate from pets in the home. The majority of our rescues are from outdoors.  We do not want to risk any diseases or parasites to your animals.  It’s best to keep everyone separate until cleared by a veterinarian.

We ask that you have your own transportation for veterinary appointments and supplies. All supplies are provided to our fosters, but we are unable to deliver supplies or transport the animals for veterinary care.
