Hello there! My mom calls me Boo. I came to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue along with my mom Brooklyn and my two siblings, Davey and Harley.
I’ll be honest, humans frighten me still at times. But I am learning to feel more comfortable around them, especially when they give me lots of treats, toys, and petting.
A nice man brought us to safety when he saw us crossing a busy road. He used this neat little contraption and placed food in it, my siblings and I were so hungry we went into it and it shut on us. We were so scared at first but when we realized mom was there, we knew we were going to be just fine.
We had some hair loss upon arrival but we thought we were just having a case of bad hair days. BUT! Come to find out we have this nasty fungus known as ringworm. Luckily these nice folks aren’t bothered by it and plan on treating us. I’m told two baths a week (which I am not thrilled about) and also oral medications for six weeks.
The treatment is pretty expensive especially because there are four of us, but the people here say we are completely worth it. Although I am still a little nervous at times, I know this is all for a better life. I am not hungry anymore. Or cold, and boy was it getting cold out there. I hope you can assist with one of my veterinary services.
