Our Goal
The Scruffy Paws Adoption Team prioritizes finding the perfect forever home for each cat and kitten. Our goal is to create lasting, happy matches by carefully considering the personalities and needs of both the feline and potential adopter.
Our Adoption Process
Our adoption process is structured to find the best fit for our rescues and our potential adopters and does not operate on first come first serve basis. You must have an approved application on file prior to scheduling a meeting with the cats/kittens. We retain the right to refuse adoption to anyone, for any reason.
1. Adoption Applicaton
Complete our required adoption application either online or mail in a printed copy.
2. Veterinary Reference
Contact your veterinarian and give permission to release records to our adoption team.
3. Landlord Approval
Let your landlord know that we will be in touch to verify that pets are allowed.
4. Home Visit
An adoption team volunteer will schedule a virtual home visit to plan for your new arrival.
5. Meet and Greet
Meet your potential new furry friend to see if it's a love connection for both of you.
6. Adoption Day
When you're approved, we'll arrange final paperwork and an official adoption day!

Our Adoption Fees
Our cat and kitten adoption fees include an exam by a licensed veterinarian, spay/neuter surgery, distemper vaccinations, rabies vaccinations, proof of FIV/Feline Leukemia test, microchip, deworming, fecal test, flea preventative, and lifetime support from the Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue team.
Often times, our rescues require out of the ordinary veterinary care, which can include dental work, hernia repairs, polyp removals, blood work panels, x-rays, emergency visits, antibiotics, and more. Our veterinary costs generally outweigh our adoption fees, so PLEASE consider making a donation to assist with another animal in need!
- Kittens (6 mos and younger) - $250
- Kittens (6 mos – 1 year) - $200
- Young Adults (1-3 years) - $175
- Adults (3-10 years) - $150
- Seniors (10+ years) - $100
- Purebred / High Demand Kittens = $350
- Purebred / High Demand Adults = $250
